The lecture will describe an experimental project, when a thermally modified soundboard has been used and tested in the pianos. The basic principle of thermal modification, the history as well as the technology of modification will be described.
Tadeas Doskocil a technologist from Petrof piano company will present the project, which was realized with the support of three European universities and the R&D team from Petrof piano company.
